Box Developers Newsletter: December 2016 | | This month, we released a File Collaboration API. We also improved our file viewers for text, code, and CSV file types. Join us for a Box Developers meetup at our office on January 25. Check out the details below! Have ideas for future issues? Please submit any article suggestions or feedback using this form. | Recent Product Updates | For a complete log of all our recent API changes, please see our API Changelog. | File Collaboration API We expanded the Collaboration object in the Box API to support file-level collaborations, allowing you to set and apply permissions for users or groups to individual files. Previously, collaborations could only be applied to folder objects. | | Learn More | Improved Viewers for Text, Code, and CSV File Types We introduced new file viewers for text, code, and CSV file types for previews generated via the Get Embed Link endpoint of the Box API. These new viewers improve the readability and overall appearance of these file types. | Learn More | Service Accounts A Service Account represents your application within a Box Enterprise. Using a Service Account your application can authenticate to Box instead of authenticating as a user. | | View Docs | SDK Updates We updated our .NET, Java, and Node.js SDKs to increase their coverage of our API endpoints. | Learn More | Watermarking and Annotations Demo We created a Preview Experience demo application, so you can test out previewing, annotating, and watermarking files. | Try The Demo | Box Webhook to AWS Lambda Sample App This sample app shows how to connect a Box webhook to an AWS Lambda function. Each time an event occurs that triggers the webhook on Box, the Lambda function will be called with the details of the event. | Learn More | Feature Requests Submit A Feature Request Do you want to submit a feature request?
